10 Lies We All Believe

Life is different for each and every one of us but in many cases, we have similarities and cross each other paths in rather unusual ways. That is the case when it comes to lies that we automatically start believing at a very young age and continue to believe for the rest of our lives.
Many of these lies are not only negative, they are harmful to us and are a type of poison to our inner person. When we latch on to them, they can cause us to think negatively throughout life and weigh us down for many years.
Fortunately, it is not necessary to continue to believe these lies and understanding what they are can reveal the next steps we should take.
If you’re able to remove these 10 lies from your life, your life will be much better.
1. Alone Means Lonely – Many of us feel that if we are alone in life, we are certain to be lonely. In reality, rushing into a relationship to avoid loneliness can make us the loneliest person on earth. Find yourself first and appreciate yourself for who you are. Then you will find a relationship that will stand the test of time.
2. Happiness Means Having Everything You Want – There is a difference between wanting more and being content. There is a lot of joy and contentment, and if we are thankful for what we have, it will display itself in many areas of our life.

3. Pain Is Easily Seen – Unfortunately, many of us judge the pain of other people by what we see on the outside. It doesn’t matter who we are, we are going to be struggling in some way or another but some people have become quite masterful at hiding it. Be cautious not to be judgmental.
4. Life Needs to Be a Certain Way – When we look at life for what we wish it could be, it can rob us of enjoying what life truly is. Life is never going to be perfect, and we need to use our freedom of choice to appreciate what we have and what life has presented to us at this particular time.
5. You Need to Be a Certain Way – Far too many people suffer through their lives because they compare themselves to others. Each of us are individuals and we will never fully be the expectation of our worst critic, ourselves. Be happy with who you are and love life.
6. Very Few People Can Live a Happy Life – The consideration that there is a privileged class who enjoy life is a fallacy. People of privilege are having difficulties, they just have different difficulties. Take the time every day to be appreciative for what you have and think of positive things. It gives you the opportunity to look back on your life and smile.
7. You Don’t Need to Go through Difficult Times – Although many of us would like to avoid difficulties in life, we all need to go through them. The old saying, “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger” actually has a lot of truth to it. Difficult times are steppingstones to better times, if we allow them to be.
8. Strong People Feel No Pain – It is not true that strong people feel no pain, they just accept it, learn from it and then move on. If you are experiencing pain, learn from it and try to make your life better because of it.
9. It Is Possible to Fake It – Although you may say words such as “I love you” or “I forgive you,” you will never truly understand those feelings unless you feel it from the heart before you say it. Don’t allow your words to get ahead of your true feelings.
10. Don’t Waste Your Time Dreaming – The ability to dream is a gift and if we use it, we can see the future for what we want it to be and appreciate the present for what it is.
