The Christian community in Essa Nagri, Ayub Goth and Bhittaiabad has been silently enduring extortion, rape and torture at the hands of workers of various political and ethnic parties for months now.
Michael Javed, former minister of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) who recently joined the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI), says that within the past month alone, “15 cases of rape were reported to him through various local heads of the areas.”
Speaking about the plight of the people in Essa Nagri, Javed says that most of the families living there silently go through the ordeal, “as people do not report or register an FIR fearing an attack from these people.”
He says some workers of a party have established torture cells in Essa Nagri and are notorious for picking up young boys and sexually abusing them. “They ask for ransom of Rs100,000 and whenever anyone defaults on the payment, the boys are tortured beyond recognition,” he informs dismally. As a result, within the last six months, many families have migrated from Karachi towards Punjab, he adds.
Javed says that when he contacted the leaders of some of the party workers, he was informed that the ones he was referring to had been ousted quite a while ago and the party was ignorant of their whereabouts.
In another instance, a brothel has been opened near a catholic church in Ayub Goth. Applications written to the authorities about the issue have not yet yielded any response, says Javed. “I want to appeal to the leaders of political parties to take notice of the issue and ask their party workers to stop harassing our community.”
Reports emerged this week that President Obama is also seeking to establish direct talks with the Iranian regime. The White House denied Iranian claims that the president had specifically asked for those talks in a secret letter, but did not dispute that it is reaching out to the regime–even as it works against bipartisan support in Congress for tougher sanctions on Iran.
He always carries his sword (sometimes bow) in one hand, and in the other a drinking horn. Svetovid had a white horse which was kept in his temple and taken care of by priests. It was believed Svantevit rode this horse in battle. The horse was used for divination. Victory in battle, merchant travels and a successful harvest all depended on Svantevit.
Many of modern researchers see Svetovid as a Rugian counterpart of the all-Slavic Perun common in Slavic mythology.

Overcoming state-centrism in international water law: ‘Regional common concern’ as the normative foundation of water security (Bjørn-Oliver Magsig) - Academia.edu
With respect to the Socialist movement
"Centrism" has a specific meaning within the socialist political movement. It usually reflects an ideologically held position between a revolutionary and reformist position. For instance, the Independent Labour Party (ILP) was seen as centrist because they oscillated between advocating reaching a socialist economy through reforms and advocating revolution. The members of the so-called Two-and-a-half and Three-and-a-half Internationals, who could not choose between the reformism of the social democrat Second International and the revolutionary politics of the Communist Third International, are exemplary of centrism in this sense; examples are the Spanish Workers' Party of Marxist Unification (POUM), ILP and Poale Zion. Marxists often describe centrism in this sense as opportunistic, since it argues for a revolution at some point in the future but urges reformist practices in the mean time; Libertarian socialists and anarchists view any reformism as political opportunism because they view reformism as incapable of effecting structural changes to social organization.
The term "Centrism" also denotes positions held by some of the Bolsheviks during the 1920s. In this context, "Centrism" refers to a position between the Right Opposition (which supported the New Economic Policy and friendly relations with capitalist countries) and the Left Opposition (which supported an immediate transition to a socialist economy and world revolution). By the end of the 1920s, the two opposing factions had been defeated by Joseph Stalin who eventually gained enough support from members of the factions through the application of various ideas formed by the factions' various leaders. (i.e. Leon Trotsky, Nikolai Bukharin, etc.)
In the United States, "Third Way" adherents embrace fiscal conservatism to a greater extent than traditional social liberals, and advocate some replacement of welfare with workfare, and sometimes have a stronger preference for market solutions to traditional problems (as in pollution markets), while rejecting pure laissez-faire economics and other libertarian positions. The Third Way style of governing was firmly adopted and partly redefined during the administration of President Bill Clinton. With respect to U.S. presidents, the term "Third Way" was introduced by political scientist Stephen Skowronek, who wrote The Politics Presidents Make (1993, 1997;ISBN 0674689372) "Third Way" presidents "undermine the opposition by borrowing policies from it in an effort to seize the middle and with it to achieve political dominance. Think of Nixon’s economic policies, which were a continuation of Johnson’s “Great Society”; Clinton’s welfare reform and support of capital punishment; and Obama’s pragmatic centrism, reflected in his embrace, albeit very recent, of entitlements reform.
After Tony Blair came to power in the UK, Clinton, Blair and other leading Third Way adherents organized conferences to promote the Third Way philosophy in 1997 at Chequers in England. The Third Way think tank and the Democratic Leadership Council are adherents of Third Way politics.
Democrats Celebrate Third Anniversary of Obama’s Presidency by Destroying Keystone Jobs, Embracing Obama’s Solyndra Gamble and Defending the Failed Stimulus and Government Healthcare Takeover
Today marks three years since President Obama’s inauguration, and what a long three years it has been. The American people have been subjected to a failed stimulus spending spree, a government takeover of healthcare and flood of new regulations.
Rather than change course after three years of job destruction and economic misery, Democrats are closing year three by digging in on their failed policies. President Obama this week decided to send thousands of jobs to China by blocking the Keystone pipeline and even embraced scandal-tainted Solyndra in his first re-election ad, suggesting that Democrats refuse to admit it was a mistake to gamble taxpayer funds on the now-bankrupt company.
Even as Democrats double down on failure, the economic reality of their failed policies is millions of unemployed Americans and destroyed jobs, sky-high poverty levels, skyrocketing national debt and suffering American families.

It hasn't quite worked out that way. Last month, the jobless rate in the U.S. hit 9.5%, the highest level it has reached since 1983.

Their goal was to divert attention away from the prolific spending of the Obama administration that is threatening our financial future. Thanks to a sympathetic media, they were able to influence public opinion to reflect their view that the rich are not paying enough taxes, and this is creating our budget shortfalls. In reality, we should be looking at Washington and their outlandish self-serving spending of the American taxpayer's money.
However since most people do not own a calculator with 13 digits or look at IRS data, their fraud has gone largely undetected and unreported. Let's examine the facts.
The 2011 budget deficit is $1,300,000,000,000 or 1.3 trillion dollars and the accumulated National Debt is $15,000,000,000,000 or 15 trillion dollars.
Using the OWS definition, the top 1% or 1.38 million people (out of 138 million taxpayers) are considered rich. This group earned 17% of all income but paid 37% of all income taxes. Clearly that is not the message being spread by OWS and their supporters.
You can hear Rep. McKeon’s entire interview at Secure Freedom Radio.
Yet the route Marx advocates to usher in the nirvana supposedly reached through the eradication of private property was to destroy the family, taking it apart root and branch. “Abolition of the family! Even the most radical flare up at the infamous proposal of the Communists,” bragged Marx himself in the Communist Manifesto.
You see, Marx was so obsessed with ending capitalism that he went as far as to declare that a capitalist system was pure evil because it enabled parents to exploit their children.
Yeah, not exactly the type of dude you want babysitting your kids on the weekend, eh.
But that’s the rub: The targeting of children is the utopian’s goal, says Mark Levin in his new book, Ameritopia: The Unmaking of America, which already hit #1 on Amazon.com. As Levin tells HUMAN EVENTS, Marx wanted control over the minds of the people; he wanted to destroy customs and cultures in order for the proletariat revolutionaries to start over. And the way to pursue those ignoble ends was to go after the family unit.

First, let’s be clear: the terms “British accent” and “American accent” are gross oversimplifications. There are many, many evolving regional British and American accents. What a lot of Americans think of as the typical “British accent” is what’s called standardized Received Pronunciation (RP), also known as Public School English or BBC English. What most people think of as an “American accent,” or most Americans think of as “no accent,” is the General American (GenAm) accent, sometimes called a ”newscaster accent” or “Network English.” Because this is a blog post and not a book, we’ll focus on these two general sounds for now and leave the regional accents for another time.
English colonists established their first permanent settlement in the New World at Jamestown, Virginia, in 1607, sounding very much like their countrymen back home. By the time we had recordings of both Americans and Brits some three centuries later (the first audio recording of a human voice was made in 1860), the sounds of English as spoken in the Old World and New World were very different. We’re looking at a silent gap of some 300 years, so we can’t say exactly when Americans first started to sound noticeably different from the British.
As for the “why,” though, one big factor in the divergence of the accents is rhotacism. The General American accent is rhotic and speakers pronounce the r in words such as hard. The BBC-type British accent is non-rhotic, and speakers don’t pronounce the r, leaving hard sounding more like hahd. Before and during the American Revolution, the English, both in England and in the colonies, mostly spoke with a rhotic accent. We don’t know much more about said accent, though. Various claims about the accents of the Appalachian Mountains, the Outer Banks, the Tidewater region and Virginia’s Tangier Island sounding like an uncorrupted Elizabethan-era English accent have been busted as myths by linguists.
Talk This Way
Around the turn of the
18th 19th century, not long after the revolution, non-rhotic speech took off in southern England, especially among the upper and upper-middle classes. It was a signifier of class and status. This posh accent was standardized as Received Pronunciation and taught widely by pronunciation tutors to people who wanted to learn to speak fashionably. Because the Received Pronunciation accent was regionally “neutral” and easy to understand, it spread across England and the empire through the armed forces, the civil service and, later, the BBC.
Across the pond, many former colonists also adopted and imitated Received Pronunciation to show off their status. This happened especially in the port cities that still had close trading ties with England — Boston, Richmond, Charleston, and Savannah. From the Southeastern coast, the RP sound spread through much of the South along with plantation culture and wealth.
After industrialization and the Civil War and well into the 20th century, political and economic power largely passed from the port cities and cotton regions to the manufacturing hubs of the Mid Atlantic and Midwest — New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Chicago, Detroit, etc. The British elite had much less cultural and linguistic influence in these places, which were mostly populated by the Scots-Irish and other settlers from Northern Britain, and rhotic English was still spoken there. As industrialists in these cities became the self-made economic and political elites of the Industrial Era, Received Pronunciation lost its status and fizzled out in the U.S. The prevalent accent in the Rust Belt, though, got dubbed General American and spread across the states just as RP had in Britain.
Of course, with the speed that language changes, a General American accent is now hard to find in much of this region, with New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and Chicago developing their own unique accents, and GenAm now considered generally confined to a small section of the Midwest.
As mentioned above, there are regional exceptions to both these general American and British sounds. Some of the accents of southeastern England, plus the accents of Scotland and Ireland, are rhotic. Some areas of the American Southeast, plus Boston, are non-rhotic.

Money insider Charles Ortel has warned that a worsening economic picture across the globe will see civil unrest hit the streets of America, not on behalf of leftist OWS types, but by an armed, “irascible and vocal Majority”.

Ortel, a managing partner with Newport Value Partners, LLC in New York City, predicts that a failure of the so-called financial recovery will precipitate “A painful re-calibration of economic strength and geo-political standing during 2012 in the midst of widespread civil insurrection and cross-border war.”
Noting that Americans’ access to firearms will cause such riots to be bloodier than anything seen in Europe, Ortel predicts that a contented and silent Majority will be turned into “an irascible and vocal Majority,” as a result of numerous macro-economic and geo-political threats facing the country, including the collapse of the euro, the bursting of the financial bubble in China, and the looming debt crisis, all of which will contribute to weak economic growth.
The MB’s statement explained that Patterson expressed her gratitude for the meeting and congratulated the group for their political wing, the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), victory in the recent parliamentary elections, and stressed that the United States is looking forward to cooperate with “whoever is chosen by the Egyptian people and a democratic government.”
The statement pointed out that Badie also thanked the ambassador for her congratulations, and said the elections “made Egyptians proud,” adding that the results of elections are a “victory” for the democratic alliance led by FJP, which includes a number of other parties.
The Supreme Guide criticized the successive US administrations and accused them of “controlling people through their support to the dictators,” which made the popularity of the United States decline across the region.
The 60-vote majority was plenty to pass HB 228 on to the state Senate, but not enough to override a potential veto from Gov. John Lynch.

Jakob Scharf, head of the Danish Security Service (PET), said Tuesday that terrorist groups like Al-Qaeda and Al-Shabaab get funds from Denmark.
"PET estimates that around 20 million kroner (~$3.5m) are collected every year in Denmark to finance terrorist groups abroad," he said. This is only an estimation.
In recent years Danish courts handled three cases of terrorism-financing. The cases involved people and associations who supported rebel movements in Colombia and Palestine with an overall sum of less than 150,000 kroner.
PET estimates that the groups who enjoy the Danish millions include groups in conflict zones like Iraq, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Palestine and Somalia.
PET says it's often difficult to prove money transactions are related to terrorism because the terrorist networks use many middlemen. However , PET does say that various people have been stopped at airports on their way to conflict zones with large amounts of money.

The Last Time Senate Democrats Passed a Budget...
Washington, Jan 19 - January 24, 2012 marks the 1,000th day without a budget from Senate Democrats. The last time they passed a budget, you had never heard of the iPad. Tiger Woods was only known for his golfing abilities. General Motors had never declared bankruptcy. You had never heard of Swine Flu. And the national debt was $4 trillion smaller than it is today.
News accounts abound now of impoverished Athens residents scrounging pharmacies for scarce aspirin -- as Greece is squeezed to make interest payments to the supposedly euro-pinching German banks.
Such accounts may be exaggerations, but they should warn us that yearly progress is never assured. Instead, history offers plenty of examples of life becoming far worse than it had been centuries earlier. The biographer Plutarch, writing 500 years after the glories of classical Greece, lamented that in his time weeds grew amid the empty colonnades of the once-impressive Greek city-states. In America, most would prefer to live in the Detroit of 1941 than the Detroit of 2011. The quality of today's air travel has regressed to the climate of yesterday's bus service.
It's been a while since we've seen Democrats this tone deaf, this oblivious to political reality.
You have an entire wired generation focused on this issue like a laser, fighting like hell to protect their online freedoms, and it's FUCKING REPUBLICANS who are playing the heroes by dropping support?
Those goddam Democrats would rather keep collecting their Hollywood checks, than heed the will of millions of Americans who have lent their online voice in an unprecedented manner.
Are they really this stupid? Can they really be this idiotic?
Are they really going to cede this issue to Republicans, hand them this massive public victory, then get left with nothing but public scorn when SOPA and PIPA go down in flames?
Shocker! Supreme Court lets stand lower bench's ban on saying 'Jesus' too often in public prayers | Ken Whiton | Op Eds | Washington Examiner
‘Legislative prayer’ is what courts call the tradition of legislative bodies (Congress, state legislators, town councils, etc.) beginning their meetings with an invocation.
Last year, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit held that when pastors and priests offer such prayers, it’s okay to mention the name of Jesus Christ once or maybe twice.
But if Jesus’ name is mentioned frequently, or if the prayer includes statements of Christian beliefs (such as the forgiveness of sins, Jesus’ resurrection, or Jesus as the Son of God), then the prayer violates the Establishment Clause of the Constitution, and must be banned.
This was a 2-1 split decision written by Judge J. Harvie Wilkinson. Judge Paul Niemeyer wrote an outstanding dissent, showing how judicial censorship of clergy-led prayer goes to the heart of what the Establishment Clause was designed to prevent.
The American higher education system is, if you take a long term view, fucked. We're locked in a student loan bubble. Student loan debt levels are at an all time high. Something has to give. Now, in California, there's an alternate plan that (not to alarm you) just might make sense.
An activist group in California is proposing that the state charge graduates of its university system 5% of their income for 20 years after they graduate, as tuition. The LAT reports that it's not completely wacky: the head of the entire UC system has said that he likes the plan, and that his team will study it. In that case, let us do some quick and dirty math.
Current UC undergrad tuition per year: $12,192
Four year UC tuition costs: $48,768
Which would equal 20 annual payments of: $2438
Which is 5% of: $48,768
This means that if your average salary over the 20 years after you graduate was less than $48,768, you would save money by paying on this percentage plan. If your average salary was more than $48,768, you would pay more on this plan (although it's hard to say exactly where the line would be without knowing how interest and non-tuition expenses will be factored in).
Perhaps more pertinently: if your salary after college was approximately jack shit, you could save a lot of money on this plan, and be subsidized by all the fuckers that got rich, which is only fair because they're probably the ones who ruined the economy and caused you to earn jack shit. It's a good socialist plan. Let's do it.
Energy Policy: Killing the Keystone XL pipeline may help one of the world's richest men get richer. North Dakota's booming oil fields will now grow more dependent on a railroad the president's economic guru just bought.
Stop us if you see a pattern here. About the time George Soros — Hungarian billionaire and key donor to leftist groups and the Democratic Party — invested heavily in the stock of the state-run Brazilian oil company Petrobras, President Obama was curbing U.S. offshore oil production and the U.S. Export-Import Bank announced a $2 billion loan to Petrobras to finance deep-water drilling off the pristine beaches of Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
Few things in the political arena are as damaging to the conservative cause as the Bush administration's coining of and frequent use of the term "compassionate conservatism". Rather than explaining that conservatism is *more* compassionate than liberalism on its own merits, which takes more work, but is vital to the long-term cause, they took the easy road and sold out the cause for their own short-term political benefit.
Newt's attacks on Bain Capital are akin to this sellout of the cause by the Bush administration.
Private equity firms at times purchase companies, split them up, sell off the parts and, in the process, layoff the employees associated with that company. In that process, they make a profit for themselves. What happens then? The profit that they make is now money that they have to invest in a new company, which is the other role of private equity. The end result is that they are moving capital from a lower valued resource to a higher valued one. This may sound very sterile and academic; what about the people who lost their jobs at the company that was broken up?
If Bain Capital were to purchase a dying mom-and-pop office supply company and sell off the parts for a profit and then invest those profits in a growing company, for example, Staples, that is creating jobs, a net positive of jobs is created. Furthermore, the jobs are *better* jobs and provide more opportunity to the employees given the nature of working for a growing company where investment and capital is flowing. This is what private equity firms like Bain Capital do.
If Newt Gingrich is not for allowing capital to flow to its highest valued source (ie. Capitalism), creating more and better jobs in the process, then what exactly is he for?
We all know that Romney is far from the ideal conservative candidate. He appears to be a career, ambitious, self-serving, triangulating politician. He is marketing himself as a moderate politician to manage the country from the middle. At least we know what we've got.
Newt is marketing himself as the 'true conservative'. He's not and by marketing himself that way, then attacking capitalism for his own political gain, he does far more harm than good for the future of the country and conservative cause.
I'll take a pass on 'friends' like Newt. If given the choice between two, ah-hem, sandwiches, I will hold my nose and eat a Romney one. At least I know what I am getting.
And it looks like the geeks have congress running scared

A majority of voters feel President Obama has not dealt adequately with economic problems.
By JEFF ZELENY and DALIA SUSSMAN, NY Times
Published: January 19, 2012
President Obama opens his re-election bid facing significant obstacles among independent voters, according to the latest New York Times/CBS News poll, with the critical piece of the electorate that cemented his victory four years ago open to denying him a second term.
As Mr. Obama moves toward a full-throated campaign, delivering a State of the Union address on Tuesday and inching closer to directly confronting his Republican challenger, a majority of independent voters have soured on his presidency, disapprove of how he has dealt with the economy and do not have a clear idea of what he hopes to accomplish if re-elected.
The economic benefits for Central Florida could be substantial. The region drew more than 2.7 million visitors from overseas markets in 2010, and each spent an average of nearly $1,000. Adding to their ranks will boost the tourism industry, which accounts for almost one in four jobs in Metro Orlando.
But the president could make a broader and more enduring positive impact on the economy in Central Florida and across the nation if he would take the lead on revamping federal spending priorities.

Republicans forced a showdown with Obama over the pipeline when they tied a decision on the pipeline to the short-term raiding of Social Security funds. The House passed a provision that would give TransCanada, the company spearheading the project, a permit to build in sixty days if Obama continued to tarry. His State Department rejected the permit earlier today.

The store “cannot pay that fine at all,” said Mohamed, arguing that the punishment imposed on the Utica Avenue odds-and-ends shop is way out of proportion to the violation.
UNLAWFUL: The city says this obviously fake toy gun is too real.
“They’re stopping us from doing any business,” he said.
The most realistic scenario in Syria is quagmire: Assad still has loyalty; the opposition is splintered, though protests continue; and the international community is indecisive, including the Arab League. But stalemate could finally prompt foreign intervention and a needed 'safe zone.'
While the Republican-controlled House voted 239-176 on January 18 to block the latest increase, that action was seen as little more than symbolic, since under last summer’s notorious budget deal Congress agreed to allow for a $2 trillion increase in the ceiling in exchange for proportionate spending cuts in the federal budget.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the President was to be given the increase in three separate installments, with the most recent, for $1.2 trillion, to be the final extension. “Congress agreed to a series of votes on the requests that would force lawmakers to repeatedly go on record on the issue of additional debt authority,” reported the Times. While the House went through the motions of rejecting the increase, the resolution was expected to die in the Democrat-controlled Senate — meaning that the President will have the final installment of his multi-trillion-dollar budget bonanza negotiated last August.
"A safe containing radioactive material at the Dabaa nuclear power plant was seized while another safe containing radioactive material was broken open and part of its contents taken, the newspaper said.
"The government has alerted security authorities and asked that specialized teams help in the search for the stolen material, al-Ahram reported.
"More than a dozen people were wounded last week when military police tried to disperse hundreds of Egyptian protesters demanding the relocation of the Dabaa plant, which is still under construction.
"Plant staff has refused to go to the site because of the deterioration in the security situation there, al-Ahram said.
"About 500 Egyptians rallied in front of the plant last week to demand that the project be terminated; with some saying they had lost their land on the plant's site."
“This announcement is not a judgment on the merits of the pipeline, but the arbitrary nature of a deadline that prevented the State Department from gathering the information necessary to approve the project and protect the American people,” Obama said in a statement. “I’m disappointed that Republicans in Congress forced this decision.”
Apparently, the media’s fascination with the former Massachusetts governor’s comments proved too much for radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh. On his show Wednesday, Limbaugh had some “you shoulda’ said” advice for the GOP hopeful.
“When all this kerfuffle starts about Mitt Romney, this 15 percent tax rate, he can say, ‘Look, we live in America, not some failed Soviet satellite. I favor a flat, or fair tax. I want to get rid of the IRS, or most of it. I favor denying big spending Obamacare liberals our income. I favor putting Obama and his reckless spending radicals on a diet, a diet we call private property rights. We call it limited government. We call it taking our country back,’” Limbaugh said.
INTERNETS, 18th of January 2012. PRESS RELEASE, FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE. Over a century ago Thomas Edison got the patent for a device which would "do for the eye what the phonograph does for the ear". He called it the Kinetoscope. He was not only amongst the first to record video, he was also the first person to own the copyright to a motion picture. Because of Edisons patents for the motion pictures it was close to financially impossible to create motion pictures in the North american east coast. The movie studios therefor relocated to California, and founded what we today call Hollywood. The reason was mostly because there was no patent. There was also no copyright to speak of, so the studios could copy old stories and make movies out of them - like Fantasia, one of Disneys biggest hits ever. So, the whole basis of this industry, that today is screaming about losing control over immaterial rights, is that they circumvented immaterial rights. They copied (or put in their terminology: "stole") other peoples creative works, without paying for it. They did it in order to make a huge profit. Today, they're all successful and most of the studios are on the Fortune 500 list of the richest companies in the world. Congratulations - it's all based on being able to re-use other peoples creative works. And today they hold the rights to what other people create. If you want to get something released, you have to abide to their rules. The ones they created after circumventing other peoples rules. The reason they are always complainting about "pirates" today is simple. We've done what they did. We circumvented the rules they created and created our own. We crushed their monopoly by giving people something more efficient. We allow people to have direct communication between eachother, circumventing the profitable middle man, that in some cases take over 107% of the profits (yes, you pay to work for them). It's all based on the fact that we're competition. We've proven that their existance in their current form is no longer needed. We're just better than they are. And the funny part is that our rules are very similar to the founding ideas of the USA. We fight for freedom of speech. We see all people as equal. We believe that the public, not the elite, should rule the nation. We believe that laws should be created to serve the public, not the rich corporations. The Pirate Bay is truly an international community. The team is spread all over the globe - but we've stayed out of the USA. We have Swedish roots and a swedish friend said this: The word SOPA means "trash" in Swedish. The word PIPA means "a pipe" in Swedish. This is of course not a coincidence. They want to make the internet inte a one way pipe, with them at the top, shoving trash through the pipe down to the rest of us obedient consumers. The public opinion on this matter is clear. Ask anyone on the street and you'll learn that noone wants to be fed with trash. Why the US government want the american people to be fed with trash is beyond our imagination but we hope that you will stop them, before we all drown. SOPA can't do anything to stop TPB. Worst case we'll change top level domain from our current .org to one of the hundreds of other names that we already also use. In countries where TPB is blocked, China and Saudi Arabia springs to mind, they block hundreds of our domain names. And did it work? Not really. To fix the "problem of piracy" one should go to the source of the problem. The entertainment industry say they're creating "culture" but what they really do is stuff like selling overpriced plushy dolls and making 11 year old girls become anorexic. Either from working in the factories that creates the dolls for basically no salary or by watching movies and tv shows that make them think that they're fat. In the great Sid Meiers computer game Civilization you can build Wonders of the world. One of the most powerful ones is Hollywood. With that you control all culture and media in the world. Rupert Murdoch was happy with MySpace and had no problems with their own piracy until it failed. Now he's complainting that Google is the biggest source of piracy in the world - because he's jealous. He wants to retain his mind control over people and clearly you'd get a more honest view of things on Wikipedia and Google than on Fox News. Some facts (years, dates) are probably wrong in this press release. The reason is that we can't access this information when Wikipedia is blacked out. Because of pressure from our failing competitors. We're sorry for that. THE PIRATE BAY, (K)2012

So to fulfill these dark sexual urges,
Yes, I acted on every twisted and sadistic fantasy I had ever had
I began to change
I had an obsession with? and control over others
My sexual appetite increased and became violent
