The Emotion Thief

He is not the sort of person you would initially find attractive. I certainly didn't the first time I saw him. He had dirty hair, narrow eyes  and a very unhappy expression permanently plastered on to his face. I listened to the stories around me about how this young man suffered heartache, belittling and general bad luck.
I began to feel pity for the young man and decided he needed a person to show him some kindness. That must be what he wanted. For a person to show him genuine compassion and care. So whenever I saw him I would approach him, talk to him, make conversation about anything he found interesting. Eventually as time wore on, my pity for him grew into real feelings. Ones I did not exactly want to experience. I already had somebody but this poor young man before me seemed so sad and alone I began to think that he needed me more. My boyfriend would find someone else without a problem whereas this man... the chance never seemed to come along for him.
So this is what I did. I arranged a meeting with this young man. I allowed him to kiss me, hold me, I told him I loved him and he didn't respond, something which embarrassed me. Later the next evening, he sought me out to declare his love for me and I then sought out my boyfriend and we broke up. I'm sure he has always known the true reasons why.
So... after two months of sneaking around, me and this young man became something more. I loved him and wanted to give him everything I had so I did. I poured every emotion I could scrape into him. I had never devoted myself to anybody or anything so much and pinned every hope on to staying with him. But things turned ugly. He wanted physical contact. This was all he wanted. The more he yearned to be physical the more I needed to love him.The more I loved him, the more he would ask of me.
Until the day. The day he left me. I was a broken soul, I could no longer think, I was just a walking heartache. He continued to ask things of me, things I stupidly gave him again and again. He would often play on how I felt, promising a reunion and I would believe it. Afterwards he would pretend he had never said such things and I began to think I was crazy, just imagining these conversations but I knew that they had happened.
Finally after almost two years I was exhausted. I had nothing left in me. I told him just how shattered I was inside, told him each time I gave him something I was left worse than before. As he led me upstairs all he said was "I know."
So I ran. I ran so far away. I am still broken, still looking for everything I have lost but there is such an idea that I will never again be able to feel like a human. There is nothing but numbness. Be aware of those around you, especially the most ordinary looking people. If you are touched by the Emotion Thief. You will never feel the same again.

Why is multiplexing so cost-effective?

Why is multiplexing so cost-effective?

"Occasion-split multiplexing has developed into a price tag-effective technique that is not simply suited for trunk area build 'tween switch facilities nevertheless is nowadays also starting to be suited for nearby circuits towards the client. The fundamental user interface from the ISDN is definitely an demonstration of this kind of tendency. "

HTTP/2 Now Available for Apache 2.4.17 and Can Make the Internet Faster | Hacked

HTTP did its job marvelously in a time when bandwidth was universally low and both content providers and users were conscious of this. But modern web sites and users have no such limitations, and this has led to serious congestion even when bandwidth is there. Server resources besides simply connection speed matter more than ever, because the fundamental limitation of HTTP 1.1 is the way it handles packet requests.

New Mind-blowing Experiment Confirms That Reality Doesn’t Exist If You Are Not Looking at It | The Mind Unleashed

According to a well-known theory in quantum physics, a particle’s behavior changes depending on whether there is an observer or not. It basically suggests that reality is a kind of illusion and exists only when we are looking at it. Numerous quantum experiments were conducted in the past and showed that this indeed might be the case.
Now, physicists at the Australian National University have found further evidence for the illusory nature of reality. They recreated the John Wheeler’s delayed-choice experiment and confirmed that reality doesn’t exist until it is measured, at least on the atomic scale.
