Ann Coulter - October 31, 2012 - ROMNEY IS WHAT THE COUNTRY NEEDS NOW

Ann Coulter - October 31, 2012 - ROMNEY IS WHAT THE COUNTRY NEEDS NOW: The single most important issue in this election is ending the national nightmare of Obamacare.

If Obamacare is not stopped, it will permanently change the political culture of this country. There will be no going back. America will become a less productive, less wealthy nation. What wealth remains will have to be plowed into Obamacare -- to the delight only of the tens of thousands of government bureaucrats administering it.

There won't be one moment marking the end of America. Everything will just gradually get worse, like trains and the tax code, until a bustling, prosperous nation is as distant a memory as pleasurable train travel and one-page tax returns.

Communist Goals to Take America

Communist Goals to Take America

Communism, a history of Death.
Under Communist control in Russia an estimated 20 million people were killed in peace time.  In Communist China 70 million peasants where systematically eliminated.   In Cambodia, Pol Pot murdered 2 million of his countrymen.  In Vietnam the Communist killed another million citizens. Nazism is another form of socialism.  The German Nazi's created the death camps killing another 25 million people, mostly Jews.  In total an estimated 125 million people have perished under Communism and the Socialist Nazi party, not counting the wars they created.  All of this blood letting by people who rejected God.  In all, more people have been exterminated under Socialism and Communism than all the wars of history combined!

An F.B.I. agent infiltrated the Weather Underground in the 1960's.  In talking with the leadership he asked them what they would do, once they gain power.  They were very matter of fact in stating, we would need to set up re-education camps in the Southwestern States.  Those who resisted change would be sent to the camps.  Of those that would change their thinking and accept Communism could be returned to society in several years.  But we estimate maybe 20 to 25 million Americans would need to be eliminated because they would refuse to accept Communism.  These same 1960's terrorist radicals are still around, but now many of them are in Universities and their students are in government positions. (See below)

People Flee from Communism
History shows that people will risk their very lives to flee from a Communist Countries to go to a country where there is Freedom.  A land where you have the right to own property, and own and run your own business.  To be able to travel where you want to go, and work at the job of your choice, and to live where you want to live.  Freedom means you have a choice.  Social Communism means you have NO choice.  In short, under Communism you are a slave to the leaders of the State.   (See some personal stories at the bottom of the page.)

Mean while at the Franklin County Fairgrounds in Ohio, President FailureTeleprompter drew a crowd of 2800.

Poor Richard's News - Actually, foreign companies invested in Bain Capital, creating American jobs

Poor Richard's News - Actually, foreign companies invested in Bain Capital, creating American jobs

Another one of the Obama campaign’s attacks on Mitt Romney and Bain Capital is starting look pretty silly.  New information turns the Bain “outsourcing” narrative completely on its head.  As it turns out, instead of sending money overseas, Bain Capital actually received money from foreign investors while Romney was CEO, enabling him to start his company right here in the United States.
from the LA Times:
When Mitt Romney launched Bain Capitalin 1984, he struggled at first to raise enough money for the untested venture. Old-money families like the Rothschilds turned down the young Boston consultant.
So he and his partners tapped an eclectic roster of investors, raising more than a third of their first $37-million investment fund from wealthy foreigners.
Most of the foreign investors’ money came through corporations registered in Panama, then known for tax advantages and unusual banking secrecy.
Previously unreported details, documented in Massachusetts corporate filings and other public records, show that Bain Capital was enmeshed in the largely opaque world of international high finance from its very inception.
The documents don’t indicate any wrongdoing, and experts say that such financial vehicles are common for wealthy foreign investors. But the new details come as President Obama has criticized Romney for profiting from Bain Capital’s own offshore investment entities, which are unavailable to most Americans.
Don’t be confused by the LA Times’ absurd spin here.  What this describes is exactly the opposite of what the Obama camp has been accusing Mitt Romney of.
Romney took money from foreign investors and invested them in an American company, building American wealth, creating American jobs.  Not the other way around.

Obama Doesn’t Remember, But You Should | Power Line

Obama Doesn’t Remember, But You Should | Power Line: We wrote here about Barack Obama’s dishonest appearance on the David Letterman show, where Letterman expressed concern about the national debt and asked Obama how much it now amounts to. Letterman thought the debt was around $10 trillion; Obama pretended not to remember and didn’t correct the host. Actually, as Obama knows very well, the debt now exceeds $16 trillion (it was around $10 trillion when Obama took office).

'No Red Tape'? New Jersey Turns Away Non-union Relief Crews

'No Red Tape'? New Jersey Turns Away Non-union Relief Crews:

How desperate is hurricane-ravaged New Jersey? Not desperate enough to suspend a union monopoly that keeps the state in the bottom ten states for economic competitiveness (and #48 for business friendliness). Relief crews from Alabama who were specifically called to New Jersey found themselves diverted to Long Island, NY after they arrived because they use non-union labor. Alabama is a right-to-work state.

The hurricane-ravaged east coast has been receiving north Alabama help, but crews from Huntsville Utilities learned they'll be doing work in Long Island, New York instead of in New Jersey.

Crews from Huntsville, as well as Decatur Utilities and Joe Wheeler out of Trinity headed up there this week, but Derrick Moore, one of the Decatur workers, said they were told by crews in New Jersey that they can't do any work there since they're not union employees.

The crews that are in Roanoke, Virginia say they are just watching and waiting even though they originally received a call asking for help from Seaside Heights, New Jersey.

The crews were told to stand down. In fact, Moore said the crew from Trinity is already headed back home.

Understandably, Moore said they're frustrated being told "thanks, but no thanks."

At least Huntsville has now found someone who wants their help.

Psalm 43 KJV - Judge me, O God, and plead my cause - Bible Gateway

Psalm 43 KJV - Judge me, O God, and plead my cause - Bible Gateway: 43 Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.

2 For thou art the God of my strength: why dost thou cast me off? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?

3 O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.

4 Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.

5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

Sunnis and Shiites

Sunnis and Shiites

The major split in Islam is that between the majority Sunnis and the minority Shiites.  The split goes back to events in the 7th century:
After Mohammed’s death in 632, leadership of the Islamic community passed to Abu Bakr as-Siddiq, one of Mohammed’s closest companions.  Some in the community felt that this succession was not legitimate, and that the title of caliph really belonged to Ali ibn Abi Talib.  Ali’s claim was supported by the fact that he was Mohammed’s cousin, his adopted son, his first convert (at the age of nine), and husband of his daughter Fatima.  Both sides believe that Mohammed specifically designated their man:  Supporters of Abu became the Sunnis, those of ibn Ali the Shiites.

The  Caliphate passed from Abu Bakr to Umar, and from Umar to Ulthman.  Ulthman at last passed the torch to Ali.  When Ali was murdered in 661, the Caliphate passed to Muawiya, who would found the famous Umayyid Caliphate.  Ali was buried in Najaf in what is now Iraq, and the site remains a major Shiite holy site.

Sunni refers to the sunnas, or oral traditions and interpretations of the Koran -- a body of work similar to the Jewish Talmud.  Sunnis believe that the position of Caliph should be a position to which one is elected by the religious leaders of the Islamic community, and not dependent on direct lineage from Mohammed.

Shiite comes from the word shia, which means "the party (of Ali)."  They are mostly found in Iran and Iraq, and among the Palestinians.  They consider certain direct descendants of Ali - the Imams - infallible and the true inheritors of Mohammed.  Ali was the first Imam, his son Hassan the second, his second son Hussein the third.   Ali’s sons were killed in the conflict with Caliph Muawiya.  However, their succession ended with the 12th Imam, who went into hiding in 940.  Most Shiites believe that the 12th Imam will reemerge someday as the Mahdi or Messiah, and reassert his leadership of the Islamic world.  In the meantime, ayatollahs are elected to serve as caretakers of the faith.

Most Sunnis and Shiites are liberal, although not by western standards.  In peaceful and prosperous times, there is little conflict between them.  But both have more extreme factions as well.  Some Shiites, for example, have a tradition of valuing martyrdom that came out of their early experiences of conflict with the Sunnis.  The most famous Sunni extremist faction is the Wahhabi sect, of which Osama bin Laden is possibly a member.  It is characterized by radical fundamentalism:  The Koran is not to be interpreted but rather taken literally.  There are to be no prayers or other appeals to prophets, saints, or any entity other than God.  There are to be no images of or monuments to any supposed Islamic leaders, not even elaborate tombs for famous Moslems.  And the Koran is to be the soul source of secular as well as religious law.

Another famous group is the Sufi movement, which can be Sunni or Shiite.  Sufis are mystics who believe that God’s love shines through everything, even ugliness and evil, and that by attaining a certain state of mind, one can directly experience this.  In this sense, they resemble Zen Buddhism.  Sufism is also noted for its use of stories that have layered meanings, much like the parables of Jesus.  One subgroup of the Sufis is the “whirling dervishes,” whose mystical practice includes religious dance.

Ronald Reagan - Wikiquote: Let it show on the record that when the American people cried out for economic help, Jimmy Carter took refuge behind a dictionary. Well, if it's a definition he wants, I'll give him one. A recession is when your neighbor loses his job. A depression is when you lose yours. And recovery is when Jimmy Carter loses his.

Ronald Reagan - Wikiquote

Ronald Reagan - Wikiquote: I'm convinced that today the majority of Americans want what those first Americans wanted: A better life for themselves and their children; a minimum of government authority. Very simply, they want to be left alone in peace and safety to take care of the family by earning an honest dollar and putting away some savings. This may not sound too exciting, but there is something magnificent about it. On the farm, on the street corner, in the factory and in the kitchen, millions of us ask nothing more, but certainly nothing less than to live our own lives according to our values — at peace with ourselves, our neighbors and the world.

Ronald Reagan - Wikiquote: One legislator accused me of having a nineteenth-century attitude on law and order. That is a totally false charge. I have an eighteenth-century attitude. That is when the Founding Fathers made it clear that the safety of law-abiding citizens should be one of the government's primary concerns.

Ronald Reagan - Wikiquote: "Shouldn't someone tag Mr. Kennedy's 'bold new imaginative program' with its proper age?" Reagan wondered. "Under the tousled boyish haircut it is still old Karl Marx—first launched a century ago. There is nothing new in the idea of a government being Big Brother to us all. Hitler called his state 'State Socialism', and way before him it was relevant 'benevolant monarchy'."

Unemployment in Spain Exceeds 25%, Taking Economic Misery to New Levels - NYTimes.com: Mr. Rajoy, however, is also fighting the crisis at home. Unions have called a general strike for Nov. 14, and elections in Catalonia on Nov. 25 could accelerate that region’s drive toward independence.

Luis Garicano, a professor at the London School of Economics, said the government’s cost of paying unemployment benefits, now almost 4 percent of gross domestic product, was unsustainable. After 20 consecutive quarters of job destruction, he said, “people see very little light at the end of the tunnel, and Spaniards are losing hope.”

Fiscal cliff already hampering U.S. economy, report says - The Washington Post: The “fiscal cliff” is still two months off, but the scheduled blast of tax hikes and spending cuts is already reverberating through the U.S. economy, hampering growth and, according to a new study, wiping out nearly 1 million jobs this year alone.

The report, scheduled for release Friday by the National Association of Manufacturers, predicts that the economic damage would deepen considerably if Congress fails to avert the cliff, destroying nearly 6 million jobs through 2014 and sending the unemployment rate soaring to near 12 percent.
