The Rabbi Leib Geliebter Foundation - Rabbi Leib Geliebter's Letter

The Rabbi Leib Geliebter Foundation - Rabbi Leib Geliebter's Letter: I am writing to you in the form of a report not knowing if it will ever reach you. We are cut off here, imprisoned in a corner of the city, in a work camp, with no means of contacting the outside world. My only hope is that these pages will reach you after the war, God willing, through whomever it may be. May these pages reach your hands in order to inform you of what has happened to our family: their fate and their tragic end. How they were pitifully martyred in the sanctification of God’s name merely because they were Jews. Nokhem Menashe knew me well as a loyal husband to your sister Khane-Rivke and a devoted member of your family. Your parents were my parents and on the whole your entire family has always been dear to me.
