considers?, wow, what a shitty place
Trade wars, NATO does not specifically mean U.S., it could've been anyone in NATO, buy American, it doesn't murder you. Maybe shitty priority-socialist countries in economic collapse are trying to profit from the military industrial complex, fueled by senseless violence. Have a fucking day, with alcohol and cooked pork, without repression, with tattooed women in bikinis driving cars, whoa! I approve this message. Islam = Communism = Bad.
House oversight committee chairman Rep. Darrell Issa may force Holder to resign over the "gunwalker" debacle. But gunwalker is just one of Holder's perversions of the Attorney General's Office.
1. The Obama/Holder DOJ decided against prosecuting a terrorist-connected Muslim extremist over the objections of federal investigators even though the case against Ahmad and CAIR was substantial.
2. The Obama/Holder DOJ is ignoring illegal immigration laws and even suing states that try to codify and enforce immigration laws.
3. The Obama/Holder DOJ dropped its substantial voter intimidation case against the New Black Panthers.
4. The Obama/Holder DOJ announced it will no longer defend the Defense of Marriage Act.
We now learn that the Obama/Holder DOJ has started all over again shaking down banks to make risky loans repeating one of the major contributing factors to the economic crisis of 2008-9.
Banks that don't go along face charges of racism.
Moreover, targeted banks are warned to shut up over the threat of litigation. Even though no charges have been proven, several banks have settled to avoid having their names dragged through the mud. An additional 70 banks, including big names like Wells Fargo, are under investigation.
The Obama administration should rename the DOJ the DOR - Department of Retribution. Holder is running the equivalent of a shakedown racket enforcing his Mafia Don's version of social justice.

If you buy a guitar this Christmas buy a Gibson
Gibson has been profitably building wonderful guitars in this country for generations but currently it is under assault by the federal government.
Gibson has hired new people in Nashville in the manufacturing sector during a time of extreme economic challenge. Yet the DOJ wants to enforce an international logging law that it looks like Gibson didn’t even violate. The fact that Gibson’s rivals gave money to the Obama administration and the fact that Gibson is a non-union shop has nothing to do with the heat it is feeling of course.
Let’s send a message to the feds. If they go after a company that is committed to doing business the right way, we the consumers will support that company and help them defeat the siege on their business.
Every guitar player should have at least one Gibson. This Christmas pick one up and help support property rights and a great American company.
By the way, Woodie Guthrie used to play a Gibson. You’d think that alone would keep the lefties at bay. But fascism has a new face these days.

How to minimize the damage from Obamacare's stealth tax hikes.
Attention Joe and Jane Citizen! Concerned about the fiscal future of your country and your family? Then please step away for five minutes from the nonstop TV coverage of the Super Committee breakdown, and get information about a matter much more important to your country and your family's prosperity.
You are being told that because the House-Senate Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction, created last August as a compromise in the debt ceiling fight, failed to reach a "solution" by Thanksgiving, there will be dire consequences as government spending has to be "sequestered" from the budget in 2013. But the real worry you should have about 2013 is the permanent sequestration of the money you can contribute to your flexible spending account due to the stealth tax hikes of Obamacare.
Back in 2010 when she was Speaker of the House, Rep. Nancy Pelosi said Congress had to pass the health care bill into law, so the public could know what's in it. And it won't be until the beginning of 2013 that most of the public will know that one of the things in the bill was a tax-free dollars that can be put aside for medical expenses in a flex account to just $2,500 per year. Especially for large families, this is in effect a marginal tax hike on health expenses of as much as 40 percent!
The flex account limits is one of the gimmicky "revenue enhancements" that allows Obamacare supporters to say it reduces the deficit. Other accounting tricks include the now-repealed 1099 mandate, which required firms to report to send a form to the IRS every time they bought a good or service valued at $600 or more.
The "medicine cabinet tax," which went into effect earlier this year and applies to both flex accounts and health savings accounts, puts in the additional headache of getting a prescription for every over-the-counter medicine bought with the account. But any short-term tax savings will almost certainly end up resulting in higher costs in the long run, as more patients needlessly visit the doctor for OTC prescription or just buy more expensive prescription medications.
But the flex attack that will begin in 2013, after the next election, of course, will potentially be Obamacare's most devastating tax hike, or "revenue enhancement." All families, no matter their income or number of children, will be capped at putting $2,500 in their flex accounts. However, it will hit those families with disabled children the hardest.
"Families with special-needs children and people with chronic illnesses stand to lose hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars in tax benefits," reports FoxNews.com. The article notes that "policy groups estimate that people with chronic illnesses face more than $4,000 annually in out-of-pocket expenses. Flex account money can go toward that."
The semi-good news is that depending on your and your family's needs, there are things you can do to minimize this hit. But you have to take action in the next couple weeks, and plan your 2012 flex accounts accordingly.
Consider putting in higher than normal amounts in the flex accounts for 2012, even doubling or tripling the amount. Then, to the extent you can, get certain procedures done this year and pay upfront for multiyear treatments such as your children's braces before the cap hits in 2013.
If you're thinking about laser eye surgery, which often isn't covered by insurance, you have a strong case for getting it done in 2012. If you know your kids are getting braces that they will wear for two or three years, pay more of the cost upfront in 2012, before the $2,500 cap hits in 2013.
Your orthodontist or doctor's office will usually be cooperative in helping you take care of the costs earlier, and they often like to get paid earlier, anyway. And remember, at the beginning of the year, all of the flex deductions that will be taken for the year are loaded onto your card. That means you can use the card to for the entire year's worth of your flex account starting at the beginning of January, even though the amount is deducted from your account paycheck-to-paycheck over twelve months.
Even if you have some money left over in next year's account, you can use it for things like extra pairs of glasses. And isn't even ten pairs of glasses better than your money going into federal coffers to fund bureaucracies such as Obamacare's Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB), which have the purpose of rationing your future care?!
You can also support legislation that repeals this tax attack on flex accounts publicized on the website SaveMyFlexPlan.org.
So this Thanksgiving, enjoy your turkey and stuffing, give thanks for living in the freest country on Earth, and resolve to keep it that way. Don't get taken in by the doom-and-gloom news reports of the Super Committee's failure to, as Matt Patterson put it here on OpenMarket, put a Dixie cup of water on the bloated government fire. Instead, focus on slaying the real dragons like Obamacare, and while they are here, shielding your family from them as best you can.
For your country and your family's sake, don't give a dime more of your tax dollars to the edifice of Obamacare than you are legally required to.
(Since individual circumstances vary, please consult your tax or financial adviser on the personal recommendations in this column.)

Madam Speaker, allow me, first, to express my sincere thanks to you personally for having planned a debate on Islam on the very day of my birthday [September 6]. I could not have wished for a nicer present!
Madam Speaker, approximately 1400 years ago war was declared on us by an ideology of hate and violence which arose at the time and was proclaimed by a barbarian who called himself the Prophet Mohammed. I am referring to Islam.
One of the rights accorded to the owner of copyright is the right to reproduce or to authorize others to reproduce the work in copies or phonorecords. This right is subject to certain limitations found in sections 107 through 118 of the copyright law (title 17, U. S. Code). One of the more important limitations is the doctrine of “fair use.” The doctrine of fair use has developed through a substantial number of court decisions over the years and has been codified in section 107 of the copyright law.
Section 107 contains a list of the various purposes for which the reproduction of a particular work may be considered fair, such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. Section 107 also sets out four factors to be considered in determining whether or not a particular use is fair:
- The purpose and character of the use, including whether such use is of commercial nature or is for nonprofit educational purposes
- The nature of the copyrighted work
- The amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole
- The effect of the use upon the potential market for, or value of, the copyrighted work
The distinction between fair use and infringement may be unclear and not easily defined. There is no specific number of words, lines, or notes that may safely be taken without permission. Acknowledging the source of the copyrighted material does not substitute for obtaining permission.
The 1961 Report of the Register of Copyrights on the General Revision of the U.S. Copyright Law cites examples of activities that courts have regarded as fair use: “quotation of excerpts in a review or criticism for purposes of illustration or comment; quotation of short passages in a scholarly or technical work, for illustration or clarification of the author’s observations; use in a parody of some of the content of the work parodied; summary of an address or article, with brief quotations, in a news report; reproduction by a library of a portion of a work to replace part of a damaged copy; reproduction by a teacher or student of a small part of a work to illustrate a lesson; reproduction of a work in legislative or judicial proceedings or reports; incidental and fortuitous reproduction, in a newsreel or broadcast, of a work located in the scene of an event being reported.”
Copyright protects the particular way authors have expressed themselves. It does not extend to any ideas, systems, or factual information conveyed in a work.
The safest course is always to get permission from the copyright owner before using copyrighted material. The Copyright Office cannot give this permission.
When it is impracticable to obtain permission, use of copyrighted material should be avoided unless the doctrine of fair use would clearly apply to the situation. The Copyright Office can neither determine if a certain use may be considered fair nor advise on possible copyright violations. If there is any doubt, it is advisable to consult an attorney.

Liberal Violence Rising
While necessity is the mother of invention, sloth and envy beget mediocrity and upheaval – the twin siblings of secular-socialism. It is in this vein that a rebellious and increasingly violent spirit of incoherent anarchy continues to fester in urban centers across the nation.
This is most evident in the form of the envy-driven "Occupy wherever" nonsense embraced by the "progressive" establishment. Still, this Obama-supported effort to supplant, through lawless imposition, our free-market constitutional republic with some misguided conception of an outcome-based equalitocracy is rooted in much more than just good old-fashioned class warfare.
Part and parcel of secular-socialism is secularism. It's fascinating in its predictability. Wherever you find an entitlement-minded Marxist, you're likely to find a "progressive," counter-biblical moral relativist.
Case in point: The "Occupy D.C." protesters, who have squatted – in more ways than one – at Washington's McPherson Square, have posted a list of rules by which "occupants" are expected to abide. Rule No. 10 requires that folks not "assume anyone's gender," but, instead, "go with gender-neutral pronouns" like "comrade." (Who knew that a so-called "99 percent" of Americans were gender-bending commies?)
Indeed, the opposite of order is disorder. While rebelling against the natural order – whether related to economic liberty or issues surrounding transcendent moral values – many of the less stable elements on the left are exhibiting an increased willingness to move beyond mere disorder to outright violence.
Examples of such violence continue to mount. But, beyond the fiery "Occupy" riots in Oakland, and the shootings, murders, rapes and thousands of arrests occurring throughout the dozens of disease-riddled "Occupy" chaos camps around the country, a less publicized example of left-wing violence took place last month in Illinois. The "Gay Liberation Network" – a militant homosexual activist group of self-described "Trotskyites" – announced that it would be protesting an award ceremony held at the Christian Liberty Academy, an Arlington Heights, Ill., church and school.
In the past, when GLN has protested this particular event, Christian attendees have been spat upon and even physically threatened by protesters. This time, things got worse. The night before the event someone threw two paver bricks through the church's plate glass doors with a dire warning: "This is just a sample of what we will do if you don't shut down Scott Lively and AFTAH. … [F---] Scott Lively. Quit the homophobic [s---]!"
The Christian organization, Americans for Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH), was giving an award to Pastor Scott Lively, a pro-family advocate who, in recent years, has been falsely maligned by leftist groups and media-types like Rachel Maddow, for supposedly supporting the death penalty for homosexual behavior – a patently false charge.
The assailants later posted an al-Qaida-like statement on the "progressive" website IndyMedia.org, taking credit for the attack and calling it a "consequence for hatred and homophobia in our community." They further threatened the church, warning that "if this event is not shut down … the Christian Liberty Academy will continue to be under constant attack." Unbelievably, the threat remains posted to this day. Fortunately, no one has yet been hurt; however, according to the FBI, by definition this attack meets all the elements of domestic terrorism. But, none of this is surprising. The flames of violence against Lively, AFTAH and Christian Liberty Academy were ignited long ago.
On the other end of the fuse is the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), a hard-left outfit known in past years for monitoring true hate groups like the KKK and neo-Nazis. After partnering with the admittedly communist GLN, the SPLC had declared, with much media fanfare, both AFTAH and Lively's organization, Abiding Truth Ministries, along with several other highly respected Christian organizations, official "hate groups."
This propagandist smear tactic has been increasingly used by the SPLC in an effort to marginalize Christian and conservative organizations with which the group disagrees. Unfortunately, however, we now see that this strategy to dehumanize, can also have unintended (presumably) consequences. As in Illinois, the SPLC's dangerous and irresponsible disinformation campaign can embolden and give license to like-minded, though less stable, left-wing extremists, creating a climate of true hate.
Such a climate is ripe for violence. After all, these "hate groups" are just like the KKK, right?
Despite all this, even today the SPLC has somehow managed to maintain some level of mainstream credibility. But as it quickly moves further from its left-of-center moorings toward the far fringes of left-wing extremism, its own deceptive activities threaten to undo much of the good for which the organization was once recognized.
After the anti-Christian attack, Bob Schwartz, cofounder of GLN, refused to condemn the violence noting precisely that the victims were "SPLC-designated hate groups." This comes as little surprise in that Schwartz once threatened to push AFTAH founder Peter LaBarbera into oncoming traffic.
Still, what is a bit surprising is that, like its GLN ally, the SPLC – a self-styled domestic terrorist watchdog organization – has additionally refused to condemn this overt act of domestic terrorism. Instead, the SPLC released a statement, dripping with sarcasm, that piled on the victims. Rather than denouncing the attack, the organization simply lamented that the violence "only strengthened the absurd argument, promulgated by many [Christians]" that left-wing extremists "want to take over America and persecute Christians."
Yes, it's official. The SPLC has abandoned all pretense of objectivity. And so, as left-wing violence continues to spike in coming months, not only should we expect to hear little about it from a sympathetic mainstream media; we should also expect little help from the once-respected Southern Poverty Law Center.
Indeed, it's hard to do much about the problem when you're a driving force behind it.

Old Norse poetry encompasses a range of verse forms written in Old Norse, during the period from the 8th century (see Eggjum stone) to as late as the far end of the 13th century. Most of the Old Norse poetry that survives was preserved in Iceland, but there are also 122 preserved poems in Swedish rune inscriptions, 54 in Norwegian and 12 in Danish.
Poetry played an important role in the social and religious world of the Vikings. In Norse mythology, Skáldskaparmál (1) tells the story of how Odin brought the mead of poetry to Asgard, which is an indicator of the significance of poetry within the contemporary Scandinavian culture.
