Political Islam // Articles // The Black Hole of History

The Black Hole of History

Everybody knows that Turkey, Egypt, North Africa, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan and other Islamic nations (there are 57 in all) are nearly 100% Muslim. Those countries were Christian, Buddhist and Hindu. Exactly how did this change to Muslim happen?

When you read history it seems that Islam came, and, magically, the countries are Islamic. But of course an event of this magnitude did not simply happen. But our schools insist that Islam “just happens.” In fact, the entire history of the rise of Islamic imperialism is denied in the curriculum of our private, state and religious schools. Our schools don’t teach how Islam transforms each and every nation it invades to pure Islam, how it happens and what the consequences are. This is the law of Islamic saturation.

Our history denies the truth of the Islamification of civilizations. Actually, our history denies that Islam is even involved. It was the Turks, the Arabs, the Moors and so on. There is no Islam, just some ethnic group.

Look even closer at the history and ask this question: how many Kafirs (non-Muslims) died in Islamic conquest? You may find a number of dead here and there at a particular battle, but the establishment answer of the number murdered by jihad is zero, zip, none. In fact, there was not even a category called “jihad deaths.” You see, Islam just happens.

After 9/11, there was an intellectual response to the establishment intellectual vacuum about how Islam actually functioned. A revolution of new scholarship on Islam was created by those amateur scholars who are outside the brain-dead establishment academy. The minds and labors of Bat Ye’or, Spencer, Trifkovic, Bostom, Warraq, Warner, Phares and many others tackled the problem of the true nature of Islam. The new scholarship gave answers to all of the questions about Islamic colonization of the world.

For the deaths caused by Sharia law, the Center for the Study of Political Islam coined the name, Tears of Jihad. There is no way to actually come up with a precise number of deaths, because Islam has written the history (after all, they were the winners) and, of course, the history is all beautiful. There is only one way to even get close to a precise answer and that is for the academy to take up this subject and treat it as a priority. Conferences would be held, papers given, journals published with peer reviews and the rest of the academic critical thought process would go on for decades and many papers.

If the answer to the total jihad deaths is not zero, then CSPI proposes that 270 million Kafirs have been murdered over the last 1400 years. This figure includes 60 million Christians and 80 million Hindus. What if only 30 million Christians had been killed? Does that mean that churches should continue to ignore the Coptic murders in Egypt today and deny the million Armenians killed in the 20th century? Would Hindus have more or less courage if only 50 million, instead of 80 million had been murdered?

This is a civilizational problem, not an accounting problem. It is not that we deny that 270 million have been killed by jihad; we deny that Islam is even at war with all Kafirs and Kafir civilization. A better kill number won’t erase the cowardice that blinds us today to an acknowledgment that Islam has a history of annihilating all civilization—the law of Islamic saturation.

It is interesting to see people’s reaction to the numbers. The vast majority ignore them. They don’t want to know. The most political figure is the number of Africans killed in jihad for the slave trade. The establishment tells us that all slaves were brought here from the West coast of Africa by Christians. It turns out that the slave trade was also on the Mediterranean and the east coast of Africa and each and everyone of the wholesalers in Africa were Muslims. This knowledge violates the establishment dogma of Christian evil.

One of the failures of the number 270 million is that it does not include the number of the Zoroastrians killed in Persia and other minorities such as the Sabians and Bahai. Who knows how many peasants died in some village without a name, simply because they did not believe that Mohammed was the prophet of Allah?

So, if the number is not 270 million, then what is a better number? Use critical thought to answer this problem, and don’t tell us that the number is zero. Give us an improvement, not a denial. We have had denial for 1400 years.

Facts and numbers are important but the real tragedy here is that our schools don’t teach the history that is the source the world’s greatest suffering caused by Islamic jihad imperialism. Since establishment professors and historians refuse to touch the subject of the Tears of Jihad, we must depend upon other scholarship to address the question of how we get the exact numbers. To that end, if you can improve any of the death figures with factual data, go to /blog/the-black-hole-of-history/ and give us your information.

China fund official slams 'indolence' in Europe

SHANGHAI — A top official of China's $400 billion sovereign wealth fund has accused Europe of "indolence" and said any Chinese investment in the debt-laden region would be based on financial returns.

Jin Liqun, chairman of the board of supervisors of China Investment Corp, slammed the welfare systems of European countries and said the continent must address its own problems to attract outside investment.

"If you look at the troubles which happened in European countries, this is purely because of the accumulated troubles of the worn out welfare society," Jin told Al-Jazeera television in an interview broadcast at the weekend.

"The labour laws induce sloth, indolence, rather than hardworking."

Jin, a former vice finance minister, said Beijing would consider investing in Europe but any decision would be based on likely investment returns.

"Our people would ask us the question: 'Wait a moment. Are you sure you can get a fair share of returns?'," Jin told the television network.

European leaders have called on China, which has the world's largest foreign exchange reserves at $3.2 trillion, to invest in a bailout fund -- the European Financial Stability Facility -- to help the region overcome the debt crisis.

The head of the bailout fund, Klaus Regling, has travelled to Beijing for talks about a possible contribution, but China has so far made no firm commitment to provide financial assistance for the troubled eurozone.

A move to help developed European countries would be a hard sell for Communist Party leaders in a country where millions of people live in poverty and inflation and soaring housing costs are straining household budgets.

China has also been burned before on risky overseas investment. It bought stakes in investment bank Morgan Stanley and asset management firm Blackstone only to see values collapse in the 2008 global financial crisis.

The losses led to severe criticism of the investment choices made by the sovereign wealth fund, only a year after it was established in 2007.

Jin called on European countries to have a "credible" programme to attract investment and generate confidence.

"As long as eurozone members would fix some of the economic, social problems they have, as long as they have a fairly credible, convincing workout programme, the outside world would have confidence," he said.

China wealth fund prepares to restructure
China Investment Corp. to expand into new international subsidiary

BEIJING ( Caixin Online ) — China’s sovereign-wealth fund China Investment Corp. (CIC) is preparing to separate its overseas business operations to expand into a newly established international investment subsidiary.

A source close to CIC told Caixin that restructuring is aimed at clarifying CIC’s investment activities in overseas and domestic markets.

According to the adjustment plan, a new, wholly separate entity — CIC International — will take over all of CIC’s overseas investments, while CIC’s current subsidiary Central Huijin will concentrate on domestic investment projects.

Last Thursday, CIC named Fan Gongsheng, CIC director of special investments, as CIC International’s general manager and said the company was close to completing a restructuring plan.

CIC’s management of Central Huijin has long been fraught with ambiguities in its functions as a government-owned investment fund.

According to CIC’s annual report, global investment returns in 2008 and 2009 were negative 2.1% and 11.7%, respectively. However, Central Huijin’s domestic investment returns raised the figures to 6.8% and 12.9% during those years.

In 2007, the Ministry of Finance put Central Huijin under the newly formed CIC and injected the latter with $200 billion through the issuance of special bonds. Central Huijin spent the next two years pumping $90 billion of that amount into state-owned financial institutions, leaving CIC with $110 billion for overseas investment.

Over the years, CIC has tried to distance itself from Central Huijin, which is closely linked to directives issued by the government. But at the same time, analysts say the company has been unwilling to cut the financial cord, given Central Huijin’s access to wealthy and influential state-owned enterprises. The "Orwellian Government" - Against Crony Capitalism

The "Orwellian Government" - Against Crony Capitalism

There isn’t much I agree with Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer on, but his warning of the emergence of an “Orwellian government” is spot on. Putting aside the fact that many of his decisions have helped to create such a reality, his concern with the use of GPS devices to track “criminals” nonetheless is well based.

He is concerned that warrantless tracking of individuals by police constitutes a violation of the 4th Amendment and it’s prohibition of “unreasonable search and seizure.”

At issue is the use of a GPS device by DC police to track the whereabouts of a suspected cocaine dealer. They placed the tracking device on the individual’s car without approval from a judge. With the beacon the authorities were able to gain important evidence against the accused.

The easy thing to say is that the suspect involved was in fact breaking the law and so the use of such a tracking device was justified. But once we start to think that the means justify the ends we quickly tread into dangerous territory.

Said Breyer in reference to the above. "If you win this case, then there is nothing to prevent the police or the government from monitoring 24 hours a day the public movement of every citizen of the United States,” …“So if you win, you suddenly produce what sounds like 1984 from their brief."

I don’t know about you, but that these words were uttered in the Supreme Court at all concern me deeply.

We are already solidly down the Orwellian path unfortunately.

This was very evident to me at 4:15 AM in the Omaha Nebraska airport yesterday.

On my way to a very early flight I was confronted by a veritable army of TSA agents at the security check-in. There must have been 20 or so people in bright blue short sleeved shirts keeping us “safe.”

Most of the time at Dulles, my airport of choice, one can go through security without walking through the radiation boxes.

In Omaha, in the wee ours of the morning however, the TSA wanted me to walk through the radiation boxes. I informed them that I was inclined not to do so and would prefer not to subject my internal organs to the blast of radiation the boxes produce. This is without mentioning of course that the device performs essentially a virtual strip search.

The TSA agent I was talking to then bruskly informed me that I would be subject to a pat down at his hands if I was not inclined to follow his suggestion. If I had to be patted down to avoid irradiating my liver and being virtually strip searched so be it I thought.

Let’s just say that if you have never seen a TSA pat down, or been subject to one, it is just as bad as many say. As I stood there with legs spread and arms extended in the air the message was clear to everyone else. Don’t buck at the radiation boxes or you will have a pat down just like this guy. Just keep moving along.

As I stood there with my shoes off, my belt off, with my wallet and luggage in the all too familiar grey plastic boxes, as a man with rubber gloves ran his hands around my waistline I thought about how far down the path Bryer was referring to we had already gone.

As the agent frisked my legs I couldn’t help myself.

I looked down and said, “ I am sad that this is what has happened to my country.”

The guy looked up at me and said, “Well sir not everyone wants to be safe.”

You are darn right, Mr. TSA agent. Some of us know that life involves risk. This knowledge used to be what defined a free people.

“Move along or you’ll miss your connecting flight.” He said.

CNN Spins Elections as Republican Setback | NewsBusters.org

CNN Spins Elections as Republican Setback | NewsBusters.org: During Wednesday’s post-election coverage, CNN largely ignored conservative ballot victories in Mississippi and Ohio and Republican gains in Virginia, rather focusing on two conservative ballot measures which were defeated at the polls. They followed the three major networks in doing so.

The network relentlessly touted the defeat of Mississippi’s “Personhood” initiative – which would define life as beginning at conception – as they reported it 14 times in 9 hours. CNN also highlighted the failure of a measure pushed by Ohio’s Republican Governor John Kasich that limited the rights of unions to collectively bargain, as that story appeared 11 times in 9 hours of coverage. [Video below the break.]

In contrast, CNN made no mention of Republican gains in Virginia, as the Democrats lost control of the state senate and Republicans now enjoy their largest House majority ever. In Ohio, ObamaCare suffered a symbolic blow as voters approved an amendment stating they could not be forced to buy health insurance -- a clear refutation of the President’s health insurance mandate.

Cycles of the Aeons

Cycles of the Aeons

The Concourse of the Dragon

The Abyss, in Egypt is a name of the North, and the original mother of this Abyss, which was Space, was called Typhon, the Mother of Beginnings, the Mother of the Fields of Heaven, the Mother of Revolutions (time cycles),1 as well as the Mother of Gods and Men. She was later made goddess of the constellation of the Great Bear, Mother-Goddess, and her first son was called Sut, the Dog-Star in the south. (1)

The seven devils or seven heads of the old Dragon… are born in the mountains of sunset, which shows the same natural genesis in physical phenomena. They had their birth-place where the sun went down. … in the West, the Egyptians stationed the Great Crocodile that swallowed down the lights, sun, moon, and stars, as they set each night, in its wide-open jaws of darkness. …the crocodile was an ideograph of the swallowing darkness--and of earth, or the waters below, called the Abyss (2)

The Dragon, or Serpent, is amongst the oldest and most primal mythological symbols known to man. Kenneth Grant explain in Nightside of Eden
The earliest Mystery tradition (i.e. the African) was dominated by three key symbols: the Tree, the Water and the Serpent … (and are found) in the metaphysics of the qabbalah as the Tree of Life, the Water of the Abyss and the Serpent which achieved it apotheosis or Height in the Depth to which the Gateway is Daath. (op cit.)
The symbolism is explained in more detail by showing the numerical (and thus the Kabbalistic) formulae upon which they are constructed and by which we can interpret them:
(the Hebrew letter zain is) attributed to the Twins, Set-Horus,. Zain is the number seven, the number of Sevekh, the earlier form of Set as the son of the Mother, Typhon, one of whose symbols was the crocodile, the water-snake or the Dragon of the Deep. Like the progeny of Tiamat [note: the Dragon-goddess of the ancient Babylonian myth-cycle of creation] Sevekh [Set] assumed his mothers totem, the crocodile. (my emphasis)
This Mythology was astronomical or symbolized in the Stars In this vein, Gerald Massey writes:
We call them the Two Bears. But the seven stars of the Lesser Bear were once considered to be the seven heads of the Polar Dragon, which we meet with—as the beast with seven heads--in the Akkadian(3) Hymns and in the Book of Revelation. The mythical dragon originated in the crocodile, which is the Dragon of Egypt. … one particular cult, the Sut-Typhonian, the first god was Sevekh, who wears the crocodile’s head, as well as the serpent, and who is the Dragon, or whose constellation was the Dragon .(4)
Grant describes the son, Set, as the Eighth of seven, the numerical symbolism which is the perfection of the number 7, as in the seven stars of the constellation Ursae Major which was earlier considered the sign of the Dragon, in 8.(5) This is also important to our next point. This god, Sevekh or Set, according to Grant was
the fulfillment of his mother. In this role, the Mother and the male child (set) … occupy the central position at the summit or the pole.
The background related above now has prepared the ground, so to speak, for the explication of the central Mystery of the Dragon:
The Mother and Child constitute the Dragon with eight heads … seven of the heads are identified with the seven planets, and the seven inferior Sephiriot of the Tree of Life, the seven that have their summit or height in Daath.

As we shall see, this has its reflection in several esoteric streams and is a truth that can be “re-discovered” by the applications of certain magical Arcanum. In a book that I am in possession of, which will be discussed at length later in the study, there is a reflection (or reflex )of this myth:

159. Barbelo sang the Leviathan into sleep, weaving her spells around him and binding him in threads of Silence. Then she sang the Great Spell of Life, the Charm of Creation calling to the Logos as he lay wrapped in the Shroud of Darkness. Within the Darkness, the Son of the Dawn awoke from the Dream of death, hearing the call of the Daughter of Eternity. And the Logos spoke and the WORD came like a sword from his mouth and the Leviathans' heads were cleaved from His body and the blood flowed through the abyss and into the void and gathered there. And the Logos rose up over the Dragon and spoke the WORD of binding and the corpse fell through the abyss and came to rest amidst the ocean that was created out of the blood of the Leviathan. And the body of the Dragon became the firmament and the Blood of the Dragon became the great salt sea.
160. And behold, from the Leviathans' corpse rose a mountain, reaching the Limit of the Abyss and toward the Pleroma from which he was born.
161. And this is the Fifth Mystery.
162. And the Son and the Daughter went together and stood upon the mountain of the Universe which is the Mountain of Heaven. The Abyss above became the Limit and the sea below and Hades were formed, and the mountain of Heaven separated the Earth and the Sky. Thus the Universe was born. And the Logos placed the seven heads of the Leviathan, the heads of the Dragon, in seven spheres, each according to its form and the Planets were created. The heart of the Leviathan he took and cast it into the Abyss, that it might remain hidden in the cycles of time, but when the heart fell into the Abyss (which was formed from the birth waters of the Dragon) the Demon Choronzon was born and he awakened saying,
163. I AM I
164. But he was hid in the darkness of the Abyss and the Logos heard him not, being upon the Mountain.
165. And Choronzon is the Sixth Mystery

-The Coiled Dragon VI

The above quote is not really so interesting, in that it merely recapitulates the mythic stream we are here following through Grant’s work, except that it was received prior to any knowledge of Grant’s thesis and also of the sources which Grant refers to, such as Gerald Massey’s work Therefore, it as a true exposition of what Grant would call the primordial Gnosis, which is to say, the Draconian, or Typhonian mythos . That this ‘gnosis’ can be discovered, in some sense, spontaneously seems to lend weight to the argument that it indeed represents forces or processes that independent of the individual.

Returning to Grant, we find that:
The seven heads of the dragon were identified with the seven planets and the seven inferior Sephiroth on the Tree of Life. …[In Egypt] the primal power zones were concentrated in the 8 gods that ruled the Amen-Sen, the Place of Chaos. These eight power zones wer later demoted and identified with the lesser cosmic power zones: the Sun, Jupiter, Earth, Moon, Mercury, Mars, Venus. These powers were identified with basal pyramid of the Tree of Life, which culminated in the eighth power-zone typified by Daath, the place of Choronzon, or Chaos, in the Abyss.
…in the Sumerian phase of the Mythology, the seven heads of the devouring dragon are represented as follows:
1. The first by a scorpion
2. The second by a whirling cross or Thunderbolt
3. The third by a leopard or hyena
4. the fourth by as serpent
5. The fifth by a raging Lion
6. The sixth by a rebellious Giant
7. The seventh by Typhon, the angel of the fatal wind.

Here we see that the Dragon has been part of the Mythic imagination of mankind since, at least, the beginning of recorded history in Sumeria and Egypt. The Dragon or Sea Serpent, and specifically the Dragon of Seven heads, therefore, is an ancient mythic type which, though of a much earlier date than the oldest books of the Bible , appears named as the Leviathan , nonetheless
Thou brakest the heads of leviathan in pieces; Thou gavest him to be food to the people inhabiting the wilderness. --Psalms: 74 : 14
Note the reference to the [plural] heads of the beast. The Coiled Serpen is also mentioned in Isaiah:
In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.
--Isaiah: 27 : 1 (KJV)
This is a version of the Caanaite Myth:
As you (Baal) smote Lothan the twisting serpent, you desroyed the crooked serpent, the seven-headed tyrant
--Ugaritic Baal and `Anat Cycle
The “type” of course survived into the Christian era down to today in the Book of Revelation. Finally, a quote from Massey in which he pulls many of the threads in this section together:
In Egypt the Great Bear was the constellation of Typhon, or Kepha, the old genetrix, called the Mother of the Revolutions; and the Dragon with seven heads was assigned to her son Sevekh- Kronus, or Saturn, called the Dragon of Life. That is, the typical dragon or serpent with seven heads was female at first, and then the type was continued as male in her son Sevekh, the Sevenfold Serpent, in Ea the Sevenfold, in Num-Ra, in the Seven-headed Serpent, Iao-Chnubis, and others. We find these two in the book of Revelation. One is the Scarlet Lady, the mother of mystery, the great harlot, who sat on a scarlet-coloured beast with seven heads, which is the Red Dragon of the Pole. She held in her hand the unclean things of her fornication. (Massey, ibid)

The mythography of the Dragon (or serpent) is vast; we shall explore this subject in more detail later. For now, suffice it to say that we have uncovered an Arcanum that has been known, and hidden, for the better part of the last 2000 years, which is to say, the bulk of the Aeon or Age of Pisces. The universe is, in this myth, formed from the body of the Dragon, and the lights of Heaven are likewise created from his heads. The body of man, is therefore, made of the Dragon’s body.

Finally, as has been pointed out and is worth restating, this means that, while the Gnostic myth has the soul-spark or “Star” as Crowley would call it, coming from the eternal realm, which is the Plenum or Fullness, the body, that is the material Vehicle of the soul is thus of one substance with the Dragon. This is a major theme in many Creation Myths, from the Sumerian to the Norse and of course the heterodox streams of Christianity and the Kabbalah also contain hints of theis doctrine. This is of course part of the concept of the Chakras and the Kundalini “serpent” that ascends in the Awakened person. Thus it is said that the body recapitulates the universe or the Microcosm is in the image of the Macrocosm. And so it is. This, then, is one of the prime “Mysteries” of magic for as the concept is easily described, it reveals depths unimagined as we attempt to map the courses of the Dragon.

5. Interestingly, this bit of the Gnosis is preserved in the Revelation of John ,as Massey says; “The name of Sevekh signifies the sevenfold; hence the seven heads of the Dragon, the Dragon who is of the seven and `is himself also an eighth,` as we are told in Revelation.” (op cit.)
6. See this volume Part II for an examination of the cosmology implied by the Book of the Coiled Dragon
7. A great deal more detail concerning the specifically Typhonian concept of the serpent or Dragon can be found in the introductory material to Part II.

Who Pays Corporate Taxes?

Who Pays Corporate Taxes?

Many Wall Street occupiers are echoing the Communist Party USA's call to "Save the nation! Tax corporations! Tax the rich!" There are other Americans, on both the left and the right — for example, President Barack Obama and House Speaker John Boehner — who call for reductions in corporate taxes. But the University of California, Berkeley's pretend economist Robert Reich disagrees, saying, "The economy needs two whopping corporate tax cuts right now as much as someone with a serious heart condition needs Botox." Let's look at corporate taxes and ask, "Who pays them?"

Virginia has a car tax. Does the car pay the tax? In most political jurisdictions, there's a property tax. Does property pay the tax? You say: "Williams, that's lunacy. Neither a car nor property pays taxes. Only flesh-and-blood people pay taxes!" What about a corporation? As it turns out, a corporation is an artificial creation of the legal system and, as such, a legal fiction. A corporation is not a person and therefore cannot pay taxes. When tax is levied on a corporation, who pays it?

There's an entire subject area in economics, known as tax incidence, that investigates who bears the burden of a tax. It turns out that the burden of a tax is not necessarily borne by the party or entity upon whom it is levied. For example, if a sales tax is levied on a cigarette retailer, the retailer does not bear the full burden of the tax. Part of it will be shifted forward to customers in the form of higher product prices. The exact amount of the shifting depends upon market supply and demand conditions.

What about raising taxes on corporations as a means to get them to pay their "rightful share of government"? If a tax is levied on a corporation and if it is to survive, it will have one of several responses or some combination thereof. One response is to raise the price of its product, so customers share part of the burden. Another response is to lower dividends, so shareholders share a part of the burden. And a considerable portion of reduced dividend burden falls on ordinary non-rich people. According to the Tax Foundation, 19 percent of federal tax returns report dividend income but 42 percent of taxpayers older than 65 report dividend income. Therefore, it is people, not some legal fiction called a corporation, who bear the burden of the tax. Because corporations have these responses to the imposition of a tax, they are merely government tax collectors.

The largest burden of corporate taxes is borne by workers. We discover that by asking a simple question, such as: Which workers on a road construction project earn the higher pay, those employed moving dirt with shovels and wheelbarrows or those doing the same atop giant earthmovers? You'd guess the guys operating the earthmovers, but why? It's not because they're unionized or because construction contractors have a fondness for earthmover operators. It's because those workers have more capital (tools) to work with and are thereby more productive. Higher productivity translates into higher wages.

Tax policies that raise the cost of capital formation — such as capital gains taxes, low depreciation allowances and corporate taxes — reduce capital formation. As a result, workers have less capital, lower productivity and lower wage growth. In 1980, Joseph Stiglitz, now a Nobel laureate, said that workers share the highest corporate tax burden in the form of lower wages. A number of economic studies, including that of the Congressional Budget Office, show that workers bear anywhere from 45 to 75 percent of the corporate tax burden. Adding to the burden is the fact that capital has the kind of mobility that labor doesn't. Corporate capital can flee to other countries easily, but workers cannot.

Politicians and leftist elite get away with corporate tax demagoguery because economists haven't done well in making our subject understandable to ordinary people, not to mention that we have derelict news media people with little understanding.

Giuliani: Obama Owns Occupy Wall Street | The Weekly Standard

Giuliani: Obama Owns Occupy Wall Street | The Weekly Standard: Before Occupy D.C. protesters swarmed the Washington Convention Center on Friday night, Mayor Rudy Giuliani delivered a speech to the free market faithful at the Americans for Prosperity conference. In his speech, he made the case that Barack Obama is responsible for the Occupy protests because of his class warfare rhetoric, his demonization of American business leaders (or more specifically those who don't support his campaigns), and his rhetorical support for the increasingly violent movement has given aid and comfort to the mob. Giuliani also made the case that this mob may take down the Obama presidency.

You can see those comments in the video below, followed by events that took place outside the convention center later that night, when protesters attacked AFP members as they tried to leave the building, injuring several of them (including an 78-year-old woman who was pushed down the stairs and had to go to the hospital for her injuries), barricaded the doors to the convention center, and blocked traffic on the streets—keeping law-abiding citizens with jobs from getting where they needed to be, some of whom can be seen in the video below confronting the protesters. According to the Washington Post, the protesters were also provoking violent altercations with neighborhood's residents throughout the night. And the whole time, the chant mob chanted: "This is what democracy looks like."

Escape From the Planet of the Apes (1971): "Time can only be fully understood by an observer with a godlike gift of infinite regression...it is the moment when our artist has regressed to the point of infinity, and himself becomes part of the landscape he painted, and is both the observer and the observed...Time is like a freeway with an infinite number of lanes, all leading from the past into the future, however, not unto the same future.
